Julia joined the Rooney Family Law team in August 2021. She has specialised in Child and Family Law since 2011. Julia represents clients on all family law matters, including separation, divorce, cohabitation, residence and contact. Julia has previously focused on Adoption and Permanence Order cases and continues to provide advice on these complex matters. She is experienced in representing clients in Sheriff Courts around Scotland and in the Court of Session.
Julia is empathic and focuses on the client’s needs whilst providing pragmatic and clear advice. Julia will always explore alternatives to litigation, such as negotiation and mediation but is a very experienced litigator should that prove necessary.
